From Q48-Q50, is all about practice and brushing up your weak areas.

How's your timing?

Since I had already exhausted the materials last time, the problem now is the practice materials

Should one go for new tougher problems ? Or can we use the old materials itself to solve, review and revisit the concepts ?

Will tough problems help improve the score ?

As for the timing, I am doing fine at the present level. I don't finish the section too early or struggle finishing the section. I still do make some careless mistakes or stumble on a problem i.e I know I can solve the problem but I go with the wrong approach, get back to right one and take 3-4 mins on 1 or 2 problems - I faced this the last time I gave the GMAT.

It depends on how you used the old materials.
What you should do is focus now on accuracy. In each solved question you should be able to say WHY the correct answer is correct. So basically apart from typical practice and simulation tests, you should compile a base of quick answers to problems. This way next time when you see a similar problem you will be much more efficient.

So I can avoid the tough problems and instead my focus should be to correct every careless mistakes I made the last time, learn any concepts that I missed, review the error log for all other mistakes and find quicker ways to solve the problems.
