Sterling Silver is 92.5 percent pure silver. How many grams of Sterling Silver must be mixed to a 90 percent Silver alloy to obtain a 500 gram of 91 percent Silver alloy?

so the ratio of Sterling Silver:Silver alloy=1:1.5 or 2:3

so in 500gm we need to add 500*2/3=200gm Sterling Silver

Ans option E

0.925x+0.9(500-x)=0.91(500)
x=200
