The range of the male in a team is 14 inches, and the range of the female in the team is 12 inches, what is the range of the team?
1) The shortest of the man is three inches more than the tallest woman.
2) The tallest man is 75 inches

1) when the ranges do not overlap, all you need to know is the difference in the ranges. Here are 2 examples
Shortest W Tallest W Shortest M Tallest M Total range
10 22 25 39 29
15 27 30 44 29

Sufficient

2) Meaningless - Insufficient
