Hello Everyone - I have work experience of approx 5 yrs. Now I want to get MBA degree from some reputed Indian college. To achieve this goal, I am starting GMAT preparation. I came across this forum few days back and started going through various excellent views presented here. I must say the comments and help provided here is exceptional and really motivating.

Since I am going to start my studies after gap of few years, I understand that it will not be a easy journey and I have to put real good effort to get good score. Please advise on how should I plan my studies and what all materials should I refer to ? Since I am going to start, should I be following any specific order in which I should go through the materials?

Any advise and help will be greately appreciated. Thanks !!

Your question is pretty broad - start looking around the forum to see what worked/didn't work for others. Then, come back with some more specific questions.

Also, you should take a practice test to get a feel for the exam and to identify your weak points. You can get two free tests from mba.com ("GMAT Prep" tests), but I'd save those until later since they tend to be the most accurate. All of the test prep companies offer free tests, as well. As for materials, definitely get the Official Guide(s). Consider taking a prep class - or at the very least, buy a prep book from one of the reputable prep companies.

First thing that i recommend you to do would be to take a Diagnostic test. Know your strengths and weaknesses and then take it from there.
