It has been said that all one can do for a sprained ankle is leave it
alone while it heals itself, ice it, and to
lie with it in a
slightly elevated position

1.
2. all one can do for a sprained ankle is to leave it alone to heal
itself, to ice it, and
3. all one can do for a sprained ankle is leave it alone while it heals
itself, and then ice it and

while it heals itself, ice it and

This is a tough parallelism question, which once again tests you on meaning clarity.
The trick is to understand whether the actions in the list described above are SIMULTANEOUS or INDEPENDENT.

Basically, we need to show parallelism for all events that occur simultaneously.

A)TO LIE not parallel
B).Need a TO after the last AND
C)The comma before the first AND isolates the first item in the list and the absence of the comma after the second AND incorrectly combines the 2nd and 3rd elements
D) BEAUTIFUL. All commas are correctly placed and all elements are parallel
E) TO after the last past is missing
Success = Max(Hardwork) + Min(Luck)

I would go with D as well for parallelism reasons. Interesting point about C changing meaning. For me I knocked it out due to parallel issues.

Agree with D.Parallilsm is issue.
A - "to lie" not parallel with "leave it" and "ice it"
B - "TO lie" is missing
C - changes the meaning by implying that ice it happens only after full healing
E - "TO lie" is missing
