For many people, time management is the most debilitating aspect of taking the GMAT. Once you slow down on one question type, it not only affects that question or group of questions, it affects the entire section. Due to that, and also the other ways students have resistance in studying - - we've integrated protocols that you as individuals can easily incorporate into your study schedule. Adding these will not only give you more time, but will increase your accuracy.
1> Speed reading utilizes several reading methods which attempt to increase your rate of reading without reducing comprehension (or retention.) There are many methods that are effective, and you'll need to figure out which ones work best for you, but they include:
- firing the inner voice
- chunking the material/peripheral reading
- smoothing eye movement
- eliminating fixation
You can figure out how quickly you read by taking our reading speed quiz here: https://mindflowclass.com/mindflow/form ... gtest.php
Most adults read 150 - 250 wpm, but for the GMAT, you'll want to increase that up to 400 - 500 wpm. See where you are and where you need to go.
If you find you need to increase your speed, manage your time better, and improve your overall Verbal score, you can enroll in our GMAT/GRE Speed Reading course, Mindflow.
