We're asked for the MAXIMUM distance, in miles, that the cyclist could travel in 7 hours. To maximize the distance traveled, we need to maximize the speed. Here, that would be 14 miles/hour. Over the course of 7 hours, the total distance would be... To find the maximum distance covered by the cyclist, we will use the maximum speed. Speed = 14.0 miles per hour Time = 7 hours Distance = Speed * Time Distance = 14 * 7 = 98 miles.
