Some anthropologists study modern-day societies of foragers in an effort to learn about our ancient ancestors who were also foragers. A flaw in this strategy is that forager societies are extremely varied. Indeed, any forager society with which anthropologists are familiar has had considerable contact with modern nonforager societies.

Which of the following, if true, would most weaken the criticism made above of the anthropologists' strategy?

(A) All forager societies throughout history have had a number of important features in common that are absent from other types of societies.

(B) Most ancient forager societies either dissolved or made a transition to another way of life.

(C) All anthropologists study one kind or another of modern-day society.

(D) Many anthropologists who study modern-day forager societies do not draw inferences about ancient societies on the basis of their studies.

(E) Even those modern-day forager societies that have not had significant contact with modern societies are importantly different from ancient forager societies.

Option A - INCORRECT.
Due to the extreme variety of the foragers, it has made it complex to differentiate the importance features in common from the old to the modernized one, but it is easy to identify them as a forager no matter what, compared to other societies who does not have a generational legacy.

Option B - INCORRECT.
It is clear that foragers does not eradicate themselves completely from the society, they find a way to implement their legacy one way or the other mostly by recreating in a new dimension but still upholding the old rules of the game. However, convincing the anthropologist of been a non-forager society.

Option C - INCORRECT.
All anthropologist study has been on the same society ''foragers'', be it modern or non-forager society. Because they all have same speculations just that one is in a modernized form than the other.

Option D - INCORRECT.
This option would have weaken the criticism but was not strong enough. The anthropologist actually have drawn their studies from the modern foragers in other to study the ancient ancestors who were foragers. Meaning that the modern foragers is a lead to getting to know more about the ancient foragers.

Option E - CORRECT.
This option has seriously weaken the criticism made of the anthropologist strategy. Since the foragers varies, then it is certain that one way or the other the modern foragers would have had contact with the modern societies, because foragers don't vanish for the society they only split and expand by recreating or establishing a name for themselves in the modern society, which makes the modern one not different from the ancient foragers.
