I have been preparing for GMAT from 3-4 months. But I cannot score above 580. Quant-42-45 and verbal-18-21. I just cannot understand critical reasoning. I am pretty well in SC. I take so much time for RC. I solved official guide-13, official guide for verbal. Please help me with the definite strategy to follow with the books to solve and any other sources for the same.

Hi vrishali.patil,

To score 750+, you're going to need to improve both your Quant AND your Verbal Scaled Scores. At that level, silly mistakes are NOT an option. The good news is that 5-6 months is enough time to learn the necessary tactics and get in the necessary practice. The GMAT will give you the score that you EARN, so you have some serious work to do if you're going to earn that score.

Have you worked with any other material (books, courses, etc.) than the books that you listed?

Hello,
I read powerscore CR 2-3 times in addition to the two books I mentioned earlier.
I guess my approach and thinking are going in wrong direction.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Manhattan GMAT, Princeton review and Kaplan?
please tell which one to start with?

A 750+ is challenging enough for a native speaker with serious grammar knowledge, but if English is a 2nd language you're going to have a LOT of work to do. I'd skip Princeton Review and Kaplan and go straight for Manhattan GMAT's Sentence Correction. It'll cover all the grammar rules you need to know.

For Critical Reasoning, Powerscore CR is great, but I also love LSAT Examcrackers CR -- even though it's for LSAT, it has a great way of laying out arguments, assumptions, etc.

For Reading Comp, the OG has enough passages to get you started, but you'll need to read up on strategy and develop an approach ASAP to 1) take effective, valuable notes as you read, 2) break down the question stems, and 3) predict accurately and using process of elimination.
