Hi All,

I've been a lurker in the forums and I need some help here. I took the GMAT last month and ran out of time for each section. I believe I had 10 questions left and only 8 minutes to go! I PANICKED! I was soo pissed off! Here's my score:

Verbal: 31/58%
Quant: 28/23%

I scored a 500 (from 420 -->460). I need a 650 and tips!

Materials I am using/had used:
Powerscore CR BIBLE
10th and 12th edition OG
GMAC CAT
Princeton Review

Is Kaplan dependable? Like I find the practice tests are SO HARD! It drives me crazy and depresses me! Does anyone have any CATs? Any tips on how long to spend on math or verbal problems?
WHY IS THE TEST $250!? The GRE is comparatively cheaper and measures quant and verbal. Why can't GMAC just lower their price? I should run for Congress one day and somehow put an end to that mess.

Sorry to hear that. Indeed, timing is a critical element.

Take a look at "Psychological and Timing Strategies" at https://www.gmatpill.com
There are a lot of good tips in terms of visualizing success and extreme positivity.

A lot of the leg work during practice conditions yourself to answer questions efficiently and effectively. Chances are you kind of understand the concepts being tested, but you do not have an efficient thought process when you approach questions. This lack of efficiency means you end up spending too much time on any one question.

There are better ways to maximize your rewards for your study effort. It lies in how you think.
