lines n and p lie in the xy plane. Is the plane of the line n less than the slope of line p?

1. lines n and p intersect at the point (5,1)
2. The y-intercept of the line n is greater than the y-intercept of p.

a) they intersect at (5,1)
line equaation = (y-1) = m(x-5) -> y=mx+1-5m
insufficient.
They can be same lines (and thus same slope) or different lines (thus different slopes)
b)y-intercept of n> y-intercept of p.
insufficient.
a&b together.
slope of n=n,s lope of p=p
thus 1-5n>1-5p
or n<p

If you do not know the equation of line,then use formula of slope m =(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Y-Intercept for line n = yn
Y-Intercept for line p = yp

yn > yp

Slope of n = (yn-1)/(0-5)
Slope of p = (yp-1)/(0-5)

Since yn > yp
Slope of n < Slope of p
