It will easy if you draw a co-ordinate plane...

Draw co-ordinate plane....a line having negetive slope passng thru the origin..

a<b will be only when (a,b) lies in the second quadrant...proving b is positive

I did draw a line with negetive slope.

a line with negetive slope is in 2nd as well as in 4th Quadrant, but I am getting
a<b in 4th quadrant also

In the 4th quadrant, a is always positive and b is negatve,,
so no way can a be greater or even equal to b..

practise test 2....!! u'd be pretty near ur date , i guess...
how much are u scoring in the tests??
