I was reading someone's report on beating the gmat and they said that they skipped 4 or 5 questions. I'm pretty sure this person still scored a 750 on the exam. I'm trying to understand how much it affects us to skip questions. Should I skip quantitative questions that seem over my head or too long? Will they be replaced with a question of similar difficulty? How does skipping work? How do you skip? Do you simply not put an answer in and hit "Next"? I noticed on the GMAT Prep software that there is no "Skip" button.

I typically give an educated guess on questions that overwhelm me. I have been thinking that skipping may be the best way to go.
