Hello,

I was wondering. If don't know the answer is it better to guess or not answer at all?

General strategy: what's the best way to study for the test? Solve problems and analyze errors? It feels that for RC section there is no way to prepare for it unless you understand a given passage.

Everyone is different. What works for you is the best way. From my own experiences, I would definitely go about looking for weaknesses first and then developing a study plan to accomodate them appropriately.

Solve problems and analyze errors? It feels that for RC section there is no way to prepare for it unless you understand a given passage.
Manhattan GMAT recommended that I spend about 4 minutes on average for reviewing each OG (Official Guide) problem. Of course, this is just an average. Expect to spend over that on problems you have trouble with and less on ones you're comfortable with. For verbal, don't just analyze correct answer choices. You can glean a lot of information from wrong answer choices as well. By looking at all the answer choices, you can internally develop pattern recognition. For many successful GMAT scorers, I've seen that the use of this ability has paid off dividends for them.
