I do not think you need to retake the test and do not feel your quant score is something to worry about based on these numbers. If you retake the test, it is possible your quant could go up but your verbal go down and result in a lower total score. I think it is best to highlight your quantitative skills in your essays and resume.

Honestly, I would say your chances are pretty slim at those schools with your current profile. This will be a highly competitive applications season. I would encourage you to both retake the GMAT to try and increase your score and consider adding some other schools to your list that have GMAT averages closer to the 630-670 range.

For top 20 programs, there is usually not much difference in their class profiles between the full time and part time programs. The average number of years of work experience and average age is usually a little higher with part time programs, but the GMAT, GPA averages tend to be similar. Your 640 is probably not out of range, but it will definitely be at the bottom of the range.
