Angela, Bennie, Chris, Diva, and Eric are sitting in a row. Is Diva sitting in the midpoint of the row?
I. Diva has got Angela to her immediate left and Eric has got Chris to his immediate right.
II. Bennie has got Eric to his immediate right and Angela has got Chris to her immediate left.

Target question: Is Diva sitting in the middle?

Statement 1: We'll "glue" various people together.
Diva has got Angela to her immediate left: AD
Eric has got Chris to his immediate right: EC
There are different seatings that satisfy these conditions.
case a: ADECB --> Diva is not sitting in the middle.
case b: BADEC --> Diva is sitting in the middle.
Since we cannot definitively answer the target question, statement 1 is INSUFFICIENT

Statement 2: We'll "glue" various people together.
Bennie has got Eric to his immediate right: BE
Angela has got Chris to her immediate left: CA
There are different seatings that satisfy these conditions.
case a: BECAD --> Diva is not sitting in the middle.
case b: BEDCA --> Diva is sitting in the middle.
Since we cannot definitively answer the target question, statement 2 is INSUFFICIENT

Statements 1&2:
This gives us 1 seating: BECAD
This means that Diva is definitely not sitting in the middle.

So, the combined statements are SUFFICIENT, and the answer is C.

Cheers,
Brent
