Founded in 1983, the magazine increased its circulation more than double since then, and its advertising.
(A) increased its circulation more than double since then,
(B) has since increased its circulation more than double,
(C) has since more than doubled its circulation
(D) since then more than doubled its circulation
(E) more than doubled its circulation since then

answer -'c'
doubts-
1.why not 'd'
2. can since be followed by then ...For instance - Airtel decided to change the logo from January 2011 ,and since then its stock prices have declined.

C is correct. Since it uses present perfect tense to indicate that a process started since 1983.
Initially I also picked D, but realized that it does not use present perfect.

We need to check for two things in this question-
1) the usage of since -> the usage of Past perfect ie. has increased/has doubled
2) The parallelism -> its circulation || its advertising. the presence of its with Circulation is mandatory as it is present with advertising, which is non-underlined.

Thanks
