Should I give GMAT?

My background - I am an 18 years old B.Sc. Maths Hons final year student with courses in almost all basic math subjects (algebra, calculus, analysis, applied etc.) , Discrete, Game theory, Statistics, Operations Research, Programming, English. I have no exact work experience ( officially which is meant to be after your graduation). But well have some(Voluntary or say part time).

Aim- A top business school and an integrated Ph.D. in Maths/Stat (my backup plan)

My doubts-

1) Somewhere It read GMAT score report can be sent only to 5 universities/schools.

My problem is I will go for GMAT and GRE subject test so as to be in safe side which means 5 business schools and 5 mathematics universities which means I will apply for 10 schools. So Is that possible or will I have go for GRE for the other 5 schools.

2)Every where I read that best time to give GMAT is June/July.

My problem is I will put the hardest possible efforts in my 1st go for GMAT (its my life) and won't risk appearing again for GMAT with a low score. But I will be appearing in October Mid/end according to my scratch level(not even started) bcuz of which I need more time and efforts unlike the 1 month prep. I need 3-4 months(July-Oct) which I will have if I appear for GMAT in October to trash GMAT and get 750-800 in the exam. Is my decision to appear in October right? I have yet not registered for the test.

Abhilasha as i see you don't have any work ex and considering you are only 18 years old,i think it will not be a good idea to go for GMAT as B-schools give lot of weight-age on the work experience unless of course you have excellent academic profile. Also you have heard right you can give scores to 5 B-schools on GMAT or GRE free of cost. You can send scores to more than 5 school too,but you have to pay GMAC extra fee for that.

Now to your second doubt, the right time to give GMAT is when you are ready.People prefer july because it takes around 6 months to fill all the formalities(essays ,scores) to b-schools and most of the b school start their programs in May to Aug period.
But it really depends on your preparation, use your mind here.
