If 25% of a company's employees are women older than 30, what percent of the men employees are 30 or younger?

1.Half of the women employees are 30 or younger
2.35% of the company's employees are men of 30 or younger

OA C

My answer choice was E. Even after working a couple of times using table approach, I could not figure out how both statements combined will give the answer. Please help.

Thanks!

1.Half of the women employees are 30 or younger
2.35% of the company's employees are men of 30 or younger
Say the total number of the company's employees is 100 and x of them are men. Thus (100 - x) of them are women.

Now 25% of the company's employees are women older than 30.
Thus, number of women older than 30 = 25

We have to the percent of the men employees who are 30 or younger. Thus we need to find the total number of men employees and also the number of men employees who are 30 or younger.

Statement 1: Half of the women employees are 30 or younger
Therefore, the other half of the women are older than 30.
Hence, half of the women = 25
=> Total number of women = 50
=> Total number of men = 50
But there is no information about how many of the men are 30 or younger.

Not sufficient.

Statement 2: 35% of the company's employees are men of 30 or younger
Therefore, number of men who are 30 or younger = 35
But we don't have any information about total number of men.

Not sufficient.

1 & 2 Together: Now we have both the information to answer the question.

Sufficient.

The correct answer is C.
