In an attempt to reclaim the unjust tax money collected by the king's men, Robin Hood suggested planting in the entourage's path a rebel disguised as a damsel in distress to serve as a distraction, so that it halts the caravan and allowing the rebels to access the king's gold.

A) to serve as a distraction, so that it halts

B) to serve like a distraction so as to halt

C) to serve as a distraction, halting

D) serving as a distraction, halting

E) serving like a distraction, halt

OA is C
