It means that the return of blacks symbolises possibility of freedom to him which is not correct sense.Also, the progressive form of symbolize also is incorrect here.

A seems more correct.

Answer should be A.

some Blacks return to Africa, the land that,

"The land" non essential appositive, so has to be set-off with Comma or else the meaning will be distorted as it happened in option B

Return of blacks in B had symbolized the possibility of freedom if symbolizing was preceeded by a comma. However, since no comma is present I perceive that symbolizing modifies land in B.

Open to debate.

Mine answer is 1 but confusion is between 1 and 2 but the use of that has prevented me from choosing it.

2 is nonsensical and comparison is wrong
3 use of FYI in the comparision

These two are compared I guess.

I, somehow, don't agree with the posts on this thread insisting that OA is {B}.

The reason I say so is simply because.. If you re-read my above line in blue

then do you think that I want to say that "thread" is insisting that OA is {B}????? Definitely NO! it's post..

{B} is badly written and cannot be the GMAT answer.
