Unlike that of earlier works on slavery, Blassingame's innovative study relies not on the records
of White slave owners but on the records of the salves themselves, especially the 70 or so
autobiographies and memoirs that have been preserved.
A. that of earlier words on slavery, Blassingame's
B. that of earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his
C. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his
D. earlier works on slavery, Blassingame's
E. the earlier works on slavery, Blassingame in his

I would like to get answer of this question and explanation as well..
Regards
Deepak

It can't be B, C and E since they are comparing a study with Blassingame, between A and D, D is more right since "that" in A shouldn't be there. Isn't that right?

Hi Sir,

Yes it is correct:)

I have scheduled my exam on 12 September.
So please give me some advice to what all things I need to do from now onwards, since I have 15 days left for my exam.
I have finished Manhattan book for Sentence correction.
I have practised almost 150 passages in Reading comprehension and also I have done with official gmat guide.
In Maths I have finished the Manhattan strategy guide along with Manhattan advanced guide for mathematics.
I have finished Manhattan Critical reasoning.

I had scored 580 when I started the preparation in GMAT mock test.

I appreciate your support.

Regards,
Deepak Kumar

Can you please explain me why 'that' should not be there?

deepakk,

Option A is correct as it is. But, what i feel is your concerns should have been posted in a different section, such as GMAT strategy.Maybe then you can expect the help of Experts.

Cheers,
You can, for example never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to!
