Sentence Correction

Hi

I am facing lot of issue doing SC. In exam I am not able to figure out which category of question is it. I understand the splits.Then understanding the meaning of statement takes lot of time. Help me please. The approach or the resources to do this.

Hi Sakshi.

From what you have said here, it sounds as if you are being a little too mechanical in the way you are handling SC questions. For one thing, if you are pressed for time, you don't need to consume time figuring out some categorization of the question. Also, mechanically using splits as decision points can be dangerous as you really need to see clearly see the contexts in which those splits occur in order to determine which of them really make sense. So what you really need to be working on is seeing entirety of the sentence and how the parts work together and on making decisions based on what you are seeing.
