OA: I answered it as D but the OA is given as A.Can anyone explain?

Veritas Confusing Question
IS X ^ 2 + Y ^ 2 > 100 1. 2XY<100 2. (X + Y) ^ 2 >200 IMO OA [spoiler]= B as in order to have second statement true a+b should be atleast 15 and any sum for x and y to 15 have their sum of the square greater than 100 but OA was C.Please suggest [/spoiler]

IMO D The question says M% ( Rev) --> N% (Profit)for company A and opposite for company B It also says in 2007 A increased revenue by N% and B by M % so which can be translated to A had 1/M % profit and B had 1/N % profit.
