Hi, I have a general question. Has anyone on this forum used the Total GMAT Math ( a.k.a. GMAT hacks math bible) and scored above a 700 because of it? I am looking to make the jump from 660 to 700+ and quant has always been my biggest problem. But I have read very few posts on this forum discusing ...

There is a difference between 3^(4n+3) and 3^4n + 3. Assuming it's 3^(4n+3): n=1, 3^(4n+3) = 3^7 = 2187 (remainder of 2) n=2, 3^(4n+3) = 3^11 = 117147 (remainder of 2) So yes, you are right. Because of the coefficient of 4, each increase of 1 in n, makes the exponent jump four spots in the 3,9,7,1 ...

doesn't it make 3^4n+3 have a 7 as its unit digit giving a remainder of 2 when divided by 5 ALWAYS!!!

Is it that adverb always comes after the main verb in a sentence
Ex: I am (main verb) now (adverb) going to the market.

trying using 4 or 5
Hi , Any integer when divided by 4 or 5 results in terminating decimal. the possibility for division by 4 are limited and are .25, .5 and .75 the possibility for division by 5 are 0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8 needless to say that 4 and 5 can divide an interger evenly as well ,leaving behind no remainder otherwis...

Hello Friends, Recently i purchased the Gmat math diagonostic test called gmat focus from mba.com ... I got a scaled score in the range of 45-49 . how representive is this score on the actual exam? also ..my excution time on each qts was very high ... around 160 sec per qts ... !!!! how can i reduce...
