I have read the previous posts about the GMAT prep materials but am wondering which would be best to use to improve my quantitative score.

I have done all of the practice problems in the OG 11th edition and the OG quantitative review and the problems from bin 3 and 4 from Cracking the GMAT. I was going to buy the Total GMAT Math book from GMAT Hacks but wanted to make sure it was a good choice before I did. Basically, I agree with what most people have posted that the questions in the OG books are simpler than what I have encountered on the test.

Any suggestions??

I personally like the Total GMAT math. It is good at covering the fundamentals of GMAT Math. If you are already able to handle all of the OG questions in two minutes though, not sure if it is going to help that much.

Time is definitely still an issue for me, I usually have to guess on the last 2 or 3. I think I just need more practice because I get nervous and then forget how to translate the problems from math to english and don't know here to begin.
I just want something a little less basic, I did the Kaplan math book as well and it was not helpful at all. I get the basic concepts but am not good at applying them to the harder questions. I'll get the total math book and see how it goes..

I actually just got through the entire book. The book has great explanations and lots of shortcuts.
After finishing it I took the Manhattan GMAT practice test offered for free online. The last time I took the real GMAT my quantitative was 32. I raised it to a 38 on the practice test after reading the book in 1 week!
I also REALLY ran out of time on this practice test. I think if I could fix my time I could improve the quantitative some more.
The GMAT total math is great to help with the level 500-700 questions. On the Manhattan GMAT practice test I am still getting pretty much all the 700-800 level questions wrong, but it takes practice!

I recently got the Total GMAT Math / GMAT bible and I'm finding it incredibly helpful.

Has anyone else had success with this book?

Howdy fellow GMAT crusaders !!

I've been seriously contemplating buying this book by Jeff from GMAT Hacks for a while now, not too sure about its content ... well i am looking to clear my concepts on all the topics tested on the GMAT with some insights into how to solve GMAT sums in a jiffy !!!
If this book gives me the stuff i mentioned , i am gonna surely get it . Those who have gone thought this book , please share ur experiances and if it was upto your expectation. Considering it'll cost me a fortune , i would like to take an informed decision.

Hey Raka,
It has now been awhile since i read the math bible. I do not think it has a quick way to do sums. It does however have a mental math chapter. This tells you how to quickly multiply percents and quickly divide.
It does however cover all the concepts. I liked it because it first has drills, then has gmat type questions and then has challenge questions for each section. This way, you really know what ur strengths and weaknesses are.
