I believe you should retake the test if it is for free. If you scored a 710 with those types of problems, I see no reason you can't get in the 740+ range. P.S. I got a 710 as well and it just seems to be that number thats SO difficult to decide on whether or not to retake. Its good, but NOT that 720...

I recently got a good job so I am in the same predicament as you. Even though many people on this forum look down on it, I am considering getting a part-time MBA. First of all, a full time MBA program is FAR better when it comes to recruiting, but if you want to stay with your company, I see no diff...

I understand you felt that you did not do well, but I ask because schools only consider your top score. Even if you got a 500, then later get a 720, the 720 is all they consider. So in my opinion you have nothing to lose in accepting your score. As far as advice for the next time, I would suggest st...

Well done!
It seems that people are getting better with the quantitative section. I got 50Q as well. It used to be 94th% and now its 93rd%.

First of all, yes it is possible. Do not waste your time with Kaplan 800. If I were you, I would take the GMAT Prep exam literally as many times as possible. If you understand how to do every problem in the database your school will improve dramatically. Focus on going over OG for verbal. Even if yo...

Percentiles Question
So it is clear that GMAC upadates the percentiles according to how test takers' average scores are changing. My question is when do they make these updates and how often? (I assume the updates are made on annual basis, but not sure)

Just my 2 Cents (not an expert): The schools that you are targeting will probably want higher GMAT scores. With that being said, the rest of your application seems quite strong and you probably have a shot at them with your current GMAT score, but improving to 680 would SIGNIFICANTLY improve your ch...

In my opinion, the only people who will answer yes to this question are people taking the test in India. By definition, a standardized test puts everyone on a level playing ground. It would be completely illogical and contradictory to the very nature of a standardized test to make it more difficult ...

To put it simply, people who succeed in Math understand the "why" behind the answers. Simply understanding a formula does not mean you will be able to apply to it different situations, which is what the GMAT does. In my opinion the prep materials are good for learning what the fundamentals...

Hmm... Although I have not done any research on the subject, I would probably disagree that the GMAT is more difficult in India. The reason so many people from India do well on the GMAT probably has a lot to do with the education system in India as well as the fact that there are over 1 billion peop...

THE GMAT IS NOT AN IQ TEST!!!! I see too many people on this forum claiming to be stupid because they can not achieve a particular score on the GMAT. There are so many factors that go into a GMAT score other than raw intelligence. Perhaps the most overlooked factor is LUCK! Yes I said it. Remember t...

Do not for one second think that the GMAT is an IQ Test. I scored a 710 and know MANY people who have scored lower than me and are probably more intelligent than me. Just because you are having difficulty with the GMAT does NOT make you stupid. I agree with the previous posters that you must go back...
