Well I'm aware there used to be copy righted material posted there However, since Jan 2007 they've stopped that and started a new VIP service.

Does anyone know if this a regular occurence with them?

ScoreTop - Creepy E-mail

by wizardofwashington » Fri May 16, 2008 7:31 am
Did anyone receive this message via e-mail about from ScoreTop:
I got alarmed with the description inside, which had all the signs of a potential "Hack" job.

Dear member,

This is an email from scoretop. I'm so sorry for this discommodiousness. If you want to access scoretop again, try following steps:

Please open the following file on your computer using Notepad:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
then add the following line to the file:
[email protected] www.scoretop.com
save the file, and then you should be able to access ScoreTop again.

Best Regards,

The hosts file syntax is

IP-address wesbite

I don't know what the email address in between

It really should not hurt using the IP address and website. You can always edit the entry. That said, It looks like the site has been hacked and not taken down because of lawsuit. I googled for lawsuit against scoretop by GMAC and I am not getting any results. BTW, Ping, nslookup and traceroute all fail with the IP Address listed. So its not a correct one.

If ST is actually violating GMAT rules by publishing same/similar Q's from original GMAT, How good is any one's percentile who has scored 99 percentile and has been with ST and How bad is some one who scored 90/93 percentile without ST.

Jeez! Looks like all the GMAT scores are skewed and no wonder the 99 percentile climbed from 740 to 750 to 760 to 800???

My post is not intended to flame any one. I feel that its not fair to every one. Is it clear that they are NOT using copyrighted material any more? What do they teach in VIP section?
