Hi All,

As per GMAC...we need to fill the info of 5 schools which we intend to apply.....if someone has not decided beforehand to which schools to apply...then is it necessary to fill the 5 schools name....or we can choose the same randomly ?

Basically what difference it creates(like cost, impact on application etc. etc...) if we apply to schools later based on the score....and how to apply the same later....? Does GMAC site allows us to do....or what is the process to be followed ?

Can someone please help ?

If you have not decided what schools you are going to apply to, I would select 5 schools that you THINK you might apply to.

If after writing you want to apply to schools that weren't on the 5, there is a charge of 28 USD for each additional school you want your mark sent to.

The idea has been floated around of putting 0 schools (or random schools) on your list for test day, and then waiting to see the result. Based on your result you then have the option of sending an "Additional Report" to a school you actually want to apply to.

I don't see a problem with this, except that it costs more money, and there will be a delay in the score report. It might also act as a subconscious disincentive to do well, and for the most part schools will always accept the higher score of multiple GMATs.

Just to add to the above - there really isn't a point to NOT reporting scores, since schools will see your previous attempts from the past five years. So, if you bomb attempt #1, do well on attempt #2, and send your scores, schools will see both score #1 and score #2. You might as well send the 5 free score reports during attempt #1 so that you're all set if you do well.
