So I'm attempting to interpret my recent scores on a Kaplan 2011 GMAT test book exam.

I received the following:

Quantitative: 26 of 37 correct
Verbal: 32 of 41 correct

If I set these equivalent to 60 points each, I get 42/60 (Q) and 47/60 (V), with an average of roughly 44/60...so, a 640/800?

Am I going about this the correct way, or is there a better method for interpreting my results?

Awesome, thanks! So it's looking like a 42Q, 42V on the Kaplan...is that OK for a first practice test?

Depending on what score you need, now you can devise a plan for yourself by analyzing the score report from the first test.
