WHICH stands for PROFITS (correct); IT stands for PROFITS (incorrect). Therefore drop A/B. Another prob in B is HAD INCREASED...HAD FALLEN (implies both actions happened sametime);

D/E - "WITH A ..." modifies previous clause (not the immmediately preceeding noun), but intent of the sentence is that 5% increase modify PROFITS. Another prob in E - AFTER HAVING FALLEN (signifies redundancy; HAVING FALLEN conveys the same meaning as AFTER HAVING FALLEN); IMO C

The results of the company's cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits: This is an independent clause ie it can stand on its own.

What follows next must be a MODIFIER of the clause or the noun at the end of the sentence ("profits"). Hence D and E are out.

Among A,B and C, C correctly modifies profits (plural - which have is correct).
B and A - it had fallen and it fell. It refers to profits which is plural. not correct.

Topic tested: Modifier, Number agreement.
