All, My question here is not to find the answer choice but something silly. I want to know if "Walmart stores" is considered singular or plural. I thought "Walmart" is a brand and singular but "Walmart Stores" would be plural.

i am not sure if the noun "Walmart Stores" would behave differently based on the sentence.

Can you folks throw your ideas on this one?

From the answer choices, only A keeps the subject consistent (singular). IMO A, but it does sound strange saying Stores and then using singular subject.

The official answer is A and the reason is "Walmart Stores" is considered singular.
My concern is if "Walmart stores" in any sentence would behave as a plural subject or is it always in a Singular form.
Think before you wish but never look back once you wished it!!

Option C is wrong on subject-verb agreement. "plans" refers to a verb associated with a singular noun, but "their" is a possessive pronoun representing a plural subject.

The right answer IMO is A.

I think the catch here is the capitalized "S" in Stores. "Walmart Stores" is the proper noun, rather than just Walmart. So, Walmart Stores must be interpreted as a singular subject.
