Please explain the reason for not choosing A?

Please explain the reason for not choosing A?

This is a case of absolute phrase, which has been tested in this sc. E is the answer.

In A,"right hand and arm crippled" is enough. why do we need " being"?.

many people quit when they are very close to success.
