Many literary critics believe that a partial source for Ayn Rand for her philosophy of Objectivism is due to her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution .

A)A partial source for Ayn Rand for her philosophy of Objectivism is due to her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution
B)A partial source for Ayn Rand for her philosophy of Objectivism is her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution
C)A partial source for Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism is due to her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution
D)A partial source for Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism is her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution
E)Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism has at least partly its source from her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution.

Can anyone explain me how B is incorrect?

I found D, C, E incorrect as the use of her is incorrect here. We have not previously mentioned Ayn Rand (Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism is not the same as Ayn Rand)

B is incorrect because you say "partial source for Ayn Rand FOR HER PHILOSOPHY" the for her philosophy makes no sense.

Soumita, your analysis of CDE is not correct. In fact there is no pronoun error in this question. Here is why:

A possessive pronoun can refer to a noun in possessive case. In all the choices C, D, and E, the possessive noun 'Ayn Rand's' is being correctly referred to by the possessive pronoun 'her'.

So now that the basis for rejecting choices is no longer valid, I would like to ask you to revisit this question and think about how you can solve it. Do not worry, I will help you solve it.

Here is my first hint - read the original sentence and tell me what does it mean? What do the literary critics believe?

Because we say Ayn Rand's experience(Possessive) not Ayn Rand Experience

B)A partial source for Ayn Rand for her philosophy of Objectivism is her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution --> Incorrect
Same Reason

C)A partial source for Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism is due to her experience during and after the Bolshevik Revolution --> Correct

It uses possessive noun and also conjuction (due to) to tell the reason.

D and E misses above conjuction.

Please let me know if i am wrong.
