The Ans is D. mine is E. who can tell me why???

Option A. is incorrect simply because of the use of the plural verb 'allow' meanwhile 'turtle' a singular noun is supposed to attract a singular verb.

Option B.
This option suffers the same fate as option A above, singular noun attracts singular verb. Plural attracts plural also.

Option C.
This looks correct but I really have a problem with 'allows for it' this construction looks rather awkward.

Option D.
This option looks so close to it, but the ending part couldn't describe it the idea behind the sentence.

Option E
this is the correct answer as it gives a perfect representation of the writer's mind in simple parallelism and correct tenses.
The ending part explains why the 'turtle' behave in such manner and gives a link up to the rest of the sentence. Therefore, this is the correct answer.
