hi pheonix, i got confused between A/E and opted out for E because of dangling 'it' in A.. idiomatic..?

IMO A....'it' is correct here. You should not eliminate A only for 'dangling "it"'. This type of 'it' is called as placeholder 'it', which is correct in GMAT
