Please underline the SC question

A - wordy
B - wordy and which is not correct
C - 'Typically' is not required
D - Correct
E - 'in a time' wrong. It should be 'at the time'

This sentence is talking about the past, so past tense should be used.
Therefore, no space for present perfect tense, so 'A' and 'B' are out!
From remaining 'C','D','E', Answer 'D' looks more concise and would be correct.
"Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in."

D.

the adverb 'typically' needs to be close to the verb it's modifying..
