Many online retailers charge "restocking fees" on returns if the purchase price is refunded back to the customer's credit card, but charge no such fees if given as store credit.

if the purchase price is refunded back to the customer's credit card, but charge no such fees if given as

for purchases that are refunded to the customer's credit card, but not when those purchases are refunded as

when the purchase is refunded back to the customer's credit card, but not given in the form of

if the purchase price is refunded to the customer's credit card, but not if the refund is given as

whose purchase prices are refunded to the customer's credit card, and charge no such fees if refunded

Answer is D

Can the BTG experts help me attack this problem from parallelism perspective. I was so confused with the things that follow "but". (It took me a while to understand What's parallel with what during the exam, a situation that costed me about 3-4 mins ) What the best way to approach these questions.

Also in the exam tension I totally missed the split between " purchases that are refunded " and "purchase price is/are refunded", let alone subtle changes in the meaning and other one word change such as "primary goal is to... and "goal is to primarily create" - How does one effectively catch these splits.

My sincere thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi Jpp, The answer should be A. C is not parallel.

The structure is: "Many Online retailers Charge X..., But Charge Y..."

Only A has the correct parallelism. The use of when and whose in other choices is incorrect.

A is wrong - REFUND BACK - redundant/ WRONG.
