would go for option E

A: wrong as the use of as much because is unidiomatic
B: same as E but wordier. so go for E
C: wrong as the use of as much because is unidiomatic
D: the use of present perfect is not correct, seems to imply finished rendering figures in wax before becoming well known

E: correctly compares the reasons for her becoming well known. keeps the structure parallel
