So I did all the SC questions in the orange book and you will be surprised to hear that I got about 70-75 % right without any preparation or anything. I did 10-15 question blocks, looked at what I got wrong read the explanations and they all made sense and moved on. I almost always just read the whole sentence out 5 times and knocked off the ones which didnt sound right and looked for patterns and then the best sounding one.
After coming to this website I realised I should probably ante up my grammar and therefore bought MGMAT SC, read Spidey's Notes, and read Sahil's Notes.
I went back through all the questions even though I had done them all.
After completing my first 50 questions (as a block) I got 25 wrong.
I was so upset. I gave it a break and went to bed.
But I woke up this morning and I think I know what it is. I read too much. I am all confused, when I look at a question, rather then using my gut feeling and what sounds right I spent way too much time analysing the different things. I think I should be using my new learned knowledge when it comes down to picking it between two or three choices as opposed to apply from the outset. I am going to try this tonight.
Anyone run into this?
