as the sentence is spoken by the person- we need 1st person pronoun- I

also for the person speaking of we need 3rd person - he

guys i am really confused as the OA states the answer as option A
reason it says we need a progressive pronoun hence him should be used

someone please exp

IMO its B.

OA can be wrong.

I normally decide the subject/object pronoun by making it a question.

Who could have told them? -> He
Who was the thief? -> I
