imo:c

The main clause starts with "of all the persons"... we need something that is parallel and modifies "of all the persons"..thus the second clause should start with "most remarkable person"...

D is correct because we don't need to use "person again" its implied... ellipsis

On a side-note, how do I know when to use people OR persons?

IMO all except E are correct.

But i would go with D, because all other options are wordy compared to D.
E - I am not sure how to explain, looks out of structure to me.
