there are two different laws...

thus "are" is used...

but is the usage of there are a correct??
i agree that there are two laws but then why should we use 'A' before stating the law

its correct ...

A X law and A Y law both should be parallel.. also as both are different laws they are joined by conjunction "and"..thus are is used

u can find more examples in mgmat sc..
