what is the best/easy way to find this?

4th root of 496 is between?

(A) 3 and 4
(B) 4 and 5
(C) 5 and 6
(D) 6 and 7
(E) 7 and 8

16^2 = 256
i.e. 4^4 = 256
25^2 = 625
i.e. 5^4 = 625

4^4=256 <496<5^4=625

So fouth root between 4 and 5

B is correct, check for the range in which it comes..
