this there a fast way of doing this problem

of the following which is the most nearly equal to sq root of 10

A) 3.1
B)3.2
C)3.3
D)3.4
E)3.5

Since the numbers are aranged in ascending start from the middle value

3.3 ^2 = 10.89

Go down the list

3.2^2 = 10.24

3.1^2 = 9.61

Hence B)

The reason I did 3.1 was because if it was 3.15 then that would be the answer(Just to make sure 3.1 is not closerto sq root of 10 than 3.2)
