If root n is a positive integer, what is the value of n?

(1) 1 <root n <5
(2) l0 < n < 24

OA is B

Can't we use st1 to determine n? Thanks.

The stem tells you that n is a perfect square.

A tells you that n could be 4,9 or 16. Not sufficient.

B tells you that n is 16 -- this the only perfect sq. in the range given.

What does it means?

10 < n < 24?
If yes, then in this range there is only 1 number whose sqrt is integer - it is 16
