I am not a native speaker either but I remember sitting in the classroom years ago and asking the same question to my prof.DavoodBeater wrote:logitech, a question:
does leg mean the two sides which are perpendicular to each other? or any side can be leg? otherwise your solution might be wrong, since if you count hypotenuse as one of the legs, you will have another area, hence E.
(you know i am not english speaking person, so it is a real question)

I did some google-ing and found the you are right. legs are legs, not hypotenuse
