Hi anksm22,

Most Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their GMAT studies. It's also generally a good idea to give yourself the necessary time to take the GMAT twice if need be. Since you have to wait 31 days before taking the GMAT again, this means that it's usually best to give yourself at least 4 months before your application deadline(s).

Round 1 for most Business Schools is in early October, so starting your studies now would give you plenty of time to study AND work on your applications.

As far as WHERE you can take your GMAT, you can find the various Test Center locations and schedule your exam at www.mba.com
