According to Reuters, major disruptions from solar activity, rare though they may be, have had serious impacts in the past.

A)major disruptions from solar activity, rare though they may be, have had serious impacts in the past

I think 'distruptions from' and major disruption of services' are both correct.

IMO A is a fragment ' 2 independent clauses - major...have had..' and "they may be"

My pick E (major disruptions of solar activity, though rare, have had serious impact in the past)
