I've heard 3 is the magic number when it comes to number of times one should take an official GMAT.

However, I have this small push to take it the 4th time and not sure if I should.

My scores:
560 - last year Nov - thought I'd take it maybe apply R2 last year.

640 May 13
680 Sept 13 - When I took this test, I thought I was going to score around 600, but got this score instead.

My undergrad GPA is horrible, therefore I wanted to break the 700.
Other info on me: Chem Eng with 6 years of experience in the biotech industry. Currently working for one of the largest biotech companies.

Thank you in advance for the input. Greatly appreciate it.

Well three IS a good number, but it doesn't mean that you can't take it a fourth time. The thing is, it will be better if you are pretty sure that you can get that score that you are aiming at. I mean it's not "dangerous" to take it a fourth time, but you want to avoid taking it again and getting lower, especially since it costs a lot of time and energy.
